Hey Everyone, I am back :). It has been a long time. Hope you all doing great.
I need your help!! My Canon 450D broke down on the way to Machu Picchu, Peru. On my return I decided to upgrade the camera and got Canon 60D, but I am not happy with the image quality. Is anyone here use Canon 60D? Or any suggestion for a new camera is very welcome.

very crisp shot.

in regards to your 60D, I had similar problems with my 7D and I know a lot of people do. I just read thru the link posted for yesterdays pic and to some point agree. I went thru two 7Ds and I am somehow happy now with the results - the other 2 were totally OFF with my lenses as well as with the kit lens. There's a big learning curve when you move from a Rebel to the 60D and the pics will become better after a while - will you get the same results you know from your Rebel? Probably - if you spend a lot of time learning all the features. Don't even bother to use the auto programs - they simply suck and AF is just off. No idea why CANON wasmt able to get a decent auto program function that gets some kind of acceptable results (yes you may need them in a 1200$ pricerange cam since you are still doing family pics, have other people using your cam or do some snapshots). Ask other people, you get all kind of weird answers why you shouldn't use them - if they are there, they should work. Period. And that without reading thru a library of books to understand how your camera works. Anyways I see you have kit lenses and my point here is still that CANON should at least be able to get these adjusted to the body before they ship - unless --- they don't care about QA. You may want to spend some time to micro adjust - the 60D should have that feature. (?)
and... don't bother to post your question on one of the CANON boards, unless you are looking to get some harsh replies by the so-called photographers over there.
And yes, I am happy with my 7D now - and there's still a lot to learn.

@Jerry - a moment in time [...]: Thank you so much!! I agree it takes some time to get used to the new camera. I did couple of test over the weekend, I feel my 450D was better than 60D. I would probably try and get a replacement for 60D and see whether that make a difference. Thanks again.

Beautiful shot!
Sorry, I don't use Canon, but I know there is always an adjustment period one goes through when upgrading to a newer model. I went through the same thing with an upgrade at the end of this year. After a few setting adjustments, I am thrilled with my Nikon D700 over the much older D70.

10 Jun 2011 1:03pm

@bluechameleon: Thank you so much. Hope I get used to it soon :)>
